URBAN TRIATHLON

Mercedes Benz B Class Urban Triathlon

Venue: Private Practice, 195 Jeppe Street, Johannesburg.

Date: Sunday 31st August 2008

Time: 10:00 – 14:00

Idea behind the event is a traditional triathlon, however due to the fact that the creative thinking behind B Class is all about the “Urban Warrior”, we have decided to replace these traditional sports with more urban activities namely, Abseiling, BMX Racing and Parkour. We have hired professionals in each of these 3 activities to train and guide our 30 contestants through the day.

We have selected a magnificent venue in the heart of Johannesburg for the event that is raw and incredibly urban with the most spectacular views of Johannesburg to enhance the creative thinking behind the brand of the “Urban Warrior”. Contestants were drawn from a list of entries and 10 contestants were contacted and asked to bring along 2 teammates to make up their team of 3. Each team member is allocated to participate in 1 of the 3 activities and the race will be conducted in a relay manner. At the end of the day, after each team has had their turn to race, the team with the fastest time will be announced the winner.

At the end of the day the contests will receive a light lunch and beverage and take in the days activities and the unforgettable views of Johannesburg.
