Scottnes Smith – Producer and Director

Award winning producer and director, Scottnes L. Smith received an Honours degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2008, in Dramatic Arts, majoring in Film and Television Production. Line producer and actor in “Long Street”, a feature length film shot in Cape Town in 2008 and due for cinema release in 2010. Directed and produced a number of award winning short films, most notably of which are “The Verge” and “Passage”, the multiple award winning Wits University short films. He has also directed a number of award winning commercials, music videos, documentaries and PSA’s. Finalist in the 2005 Multichoice Vuka! Awards for his PSA “Donor Man”. Finalist in the SAB “Kickstart” Competition for Small Businesses.

Wandile Molebatsi – Producer and Actor

A seasoned actor, Wandile has acted in several foreign co-productions which exposed him to the inner workings of a film crew. Starred in “A Million Colours”, “Skeem”, “Intersexions”, “Soul City”, “When We Were Black”, “Gothia Caper”, “Rhythm City” and “Cry The Beloved Country”. Wandile is also a former KTV presenter. He graduated from Wits University in 2008 and received an Honours degree in Dramatic Arts.

Fidel Namisi – Producer and Writer

A Wits University graduate, Fidel started his career in filmmaking with his friend’s camcorder in high school, shooting low budget documentaries. He got his first break in the television industry when writing on “Soul Buddyz: Series 3” (2006). Since then he has worked continuously as a scriptwriter. His credits include “A Place Called Home” (SABC 1, 2007), “Rhythm City” (eTV, 2009) and “Zone 14” (2010). He has also written the scripts of the feature films “Contenders Only”, “Lucky’s Numbers” , “Tooth and Nails” and “Hear Me Move”. When not behind his laptop screen, Fidel may be found hiking or shooting hoops in and around Pretoria.
